THE CREDITON HILL BOOK CLUB - new for 2011

Residents of Crediton Hill are invited to join the new Crediton Hill book club. The book club meets informally on a weekday evening every 2 months or so to have a light hearted chat about books that will be selected by the members. We hope the club will also be a good way for people to get to know their neighbours a little better. Our first meeting went well and we are looking forward to me.

The book club is open to all residents of Crediton Hill (not just members of the Residents' Association.

If you are interested, please contact us using the button to the left.

PHOTO COMPETITION

We want to publish the best photos of life in Crediton Hill.

So if you've taken any please send them to us, using the contact us button to the left.

We'll judge which are the best examples and publish them in future editions of the CHRA News.

SUMMER PARTY 2010

We enjoyed our June party at the Cricket Club, despite a disappointing England performance in the World Cup on TV, the conversation and company more than made up for it.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND PARTY 2010

We held this at the Hampstead Cricket Club on Wednesday 3 March at 7.30 p.m. Jim Carter gave a really interesting talk about the history of the Cricket Club, including its connections with the theatrical community of the time. We also had talks and questions with the Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, and two local politicians: Keith Moffitt from the Liberal Democrats and Paul Ratner from the Conservatives.

NEW NEIGHBOURS

Here are three new neighbours spotted recently. The one on the left has melted away, and the one on the right has moved in with lots of his friends and relations.

SUMMER PARTY 2009

This year we had a very successful Summer Party,  back at the Hampstead Cricket Club on Friday 19 June. We enjoyed a joint event with the residents' associations of Alvanley Gardens and Lymington Road, with barbecue food, spiced potatoes and delicious salads, with fruit and cake to follow.  It was really good to be back at the Cricket Club.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND PARTY 2009

A very successful AGM was held in West Hampstead Library on Monday 9 March.

Representatives of the JCC (Jewish Community Centre), who have plans to demolish the existing Mercedes garage on Finchley Road and build a new community centre and flats there, came along to explain their proposals.

Representatives of the Metropolitan Police's Safer Neighbourhoods Team were also there to discuss local crime issues.

As usual we had tasty refreshments and drinks.

SUMMER PARTY 2008

We had a most enjoyable party in St Andrew's Church Hall. To give a quick impression, here's a photo of some members and some of the food on offer, before the party got going.
