LOCAL DEVELOPMENTS
Finchley Road: Jewish Cultural Centre
On the site of the Mercedes showroom at the corner of Lymington Road and Finchley Road, there are plans to build a Jewish Cultural Centre. This will be quite a substantial building for daytime and evening use. The developers have had some consultation with the local community already. While we welcome the nature of the development, we will have concerns about parking and possibly other issues. Revised plans have been shown to the public, and the planning application approved.
West Hampstead Thameslink Station
A new station building is due to be built on the south side of the railway line, connecting with the new but isolated footbridge built in 2009. The pavement on Iverson Road will be widened to provide easier access. For those of us in Crediton Hill, the existing footbridge will be retained.
